Nana's provides before and after school care in Glendale for children through 12 years. School-age care runs before school, after school and on weekends, with homework time and a real bedtime, and our own vans take children to and from school once the transportation authorization form is completed.
Before school
43rd Ave is open 24 hours Monday through Saturday and Northern opens at 5 AM, so you can drop off before any shift and we take it from there: a calm start with their own age group, and the ride to school in our own vans for children with the transportation authorization form completed.
After school
- Pick-up from school in our own vans (routes: ask a person).
- Homework time.
- A wholesome meal while your child is in care.
- Play with children their own age — school age has its own room and its own routine.
When school is out but work is not
School-age care also runs on weekends. Drop-in days are available on weekdays and Saturdays at both buildings and on Sundays at Northern, which helps on days school is closed. Call ahead so the school-age room can confirm a spot.
Staffing for school-age children
Arizona sets the staff-to-child ratio by age for every licensed center, and we staff to it: 1:20 for school age.
Both buildings are licensed child care centers, licensed and inspected by the Arizona Department of Health Services: Peoria license CDC-14018 and Northern license CDC-12417. Both licenses are public record on AZ Care Check and posted on the wall.

Two buildings
- Peoria building: 10046 N 43rd Ave, Glendale, AZ 85302 — the larger building, licensed for 150 children, open 24 hours Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays and holidays. We call it our Peoria building after the avenue, not the city.
- Northern building: 4910 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301 — the smaller building, licensed for 59 children, open 5 AM to midnight, every day.
