Daycare With Transportation to and From School in Glendale

Nana's is a daycare with transportation: we run our own vans to take school-age children to and from school, once the transportation authorization form is completed. Which schools and areas are covered, and any cost, are for a person to answer — call either building.

In practice

School-age care at Nana's runs before school, after school and on weekends, and transportation to and from school is available for enrolled children. We run our own vans — the ride is part of Nana's, not an outside service.

How to set it up

The transportation authorization form is available from the front desk; see our forms page.

1
Call the building you plan to use and ask whether your child's school is on a route.
2
Complete the transportation authorization form — it is part of the enrollment packet.
3
Finish the rest of the packet: a current immunization card, a completed emergency card, the application and the signed policy agreement.

What happens before and after school

Before school, children arrive, settle and get ready for the ride. After school, they come back to homework time, a meal and play with their own age group. School-age care is for children through 12 years. Read more about before and after school care.

A day with school transportation

Here is how a school day can run for a school-age child at Nana's: an early-morning drop-off before your shift, a calm start with their own age group, the van ride to school, the van ride back after school, homework time, a meal while in care, and play until you arrive. 43rd Ave is open 24 hours Monday through Saturday and Northern 5 AM to midnight, so the day fits early and late shifts alike.
