Nana's provides evening child care in Glendale for parents who work late. Our 43rd Ave building is open 24 hours Monday through Saturday, so an evening shift, a late shift or a whole night is covered there; Northern is open 5 AM to midnight. Special night-time rates begin after 8 pm.

Care that lasts as long as your shift
Most daycares close their doors in the late afternoon. That leaves restaurant staff, retail closers, hospital workers, call-centre teams and students in evening classes with nowhere to turn. Nana's was set up for exactly those families: Our 43rd Ave building (10046 N 43rd Ave, Glendale) is open 24 hours, Monday through Saturday, and closed Sundays and holidays. Northern (4910 W Northern Ave, Glendale) is open 5 AM to midnight.
- Peoria building: 10046 N 43rd Ave, Glendale, AZ 85302 — the larger building, licensed for 150 children, open 24 hours Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays and holidays. We call it our Peoria building after the avenue, not the city.
- Northern building: 4910 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301 — the smaller building, licensed for 59 children, open 5 AM to midnight, every day.

What the evening looks like for your child
An evening at Nana's is calm on purpose. Children eat, wind down and follow a routine their own age group knows.
- ✓A wholesome, nutritious meal while your child is in care, so there is no need to pack dinner unless your child has a special diet.
- ✓Creative arts and free-choice activities with their own age group.
- ✓School-age children get homework time and a real bedtime.
- ✓A blanket and pillow from home helps younger children settle.

Evening rates and schedules

Special night-time rates begin later in the evening: drop-ins up to 5 hours, drop-ins up to 10 hours, and the week special for full-time evening care. Call either building for the amounts and tonight's availability.
Full-time is more than 6 hours and up to 10 hours a day; part-time is up to 5 hours 59 minutes a day. More than 10 hours in a day needs advance notice and management approval. If you are running late, call — time outside your approved schedule is billed.
DES families and evening hours
DES child care assistance is accepted at both buildings, and evening hours qualify — assistance is based on the hours you work. See how DES assistance works at Nana's.

Making evening care work for your family
Evening care asks a lot of a child's day, so a little planning goes a long way. Keep drop-off calm and quick, pack the same comfort object every night, and agree a regular pick-up time with the desk. If your schedule changes, put it in writing to the director for approval — you can switch between full-time and part-time. For school-age children, homework time in the evening means less to do once you are home together.

Visit in the evening, not mid-morning

Plan a visit at the hour you would really be dropping off — that tells you more than any page can.
