Yes — DES child care assistance is accepted at both Nana's buildings in Glendale. Assistance is based on the hours you work, and evening and weekend hours qualify. Bring your DES paperwork at enrollment and the provider side is handled here; DES families pay the weekly co-pay DES sets.

How DES assistance works at Nana's

Evening and weekend hours count
Assistance is based on the hours you work, and evening and weekend hours qualify. That matters at Nana's, because 43rd Ave is open 24 hours Monday through Saturday and Northern is open 5 AM to midnight every day. See evening child care and weekend daycare.

Which programs DES families can use

All of them: infants from 6 weeks, one-year-olds, two-year-olds, three-year-olds, pre-kinder and school age through 12 years. Each group has its own room, its own routine and its own staffing rule.
- Peoria building: 10046 N 43rd Ave, Glendale, AZ 85302 — the larger building, licensed for 150 children, open 24 hours Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays and holidays. We call it our Peoria building after the avenue, not the city.
- Northern building: 4910 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301 — the smaller building, licensed for 59 children, open 5 AM to midnight, every day.
Common questions before you apply
Parents often worry that DES assistance limits where or when they can use child care. At Nana's, DES families use the same rooms, programs and schedules as everyone else, at either building. If your work includes evenings or weekends, tell DES — assistance is based on the hours you work, and those hours qualify. If you are unsure what DES will approve for your family, ask DES first, then call either desk with the answer and we take it from there.
