West Valley, Arizona · Two locations

The lights
are on.
24-hour daycare in Glendale — a real preschool, on your family’s hours.

Nana’s Preschool Academy has cared for West Valley families since 2005, at two locations in the north-west Valley. Family owned, both buildings licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services. The grandmother on the logo is the promise: somebody kind, wide awake.

Both buildings are open through the night — a child can arrive at four in the morning or be collected at eleven at night, and the room they walk into is staffed either way. Northern is open seven days; Peoria is closed Sundays. Hours differ a little between the two, so call the building nearest you. Most centres in the Valley run six to six; that covers about a third of the week.

01Why this exists

Twelve daylight hours isn’t childcare for a night shift.

The West Valley runs on shift work — hospitals, distribution centres, hotels, casinos, the airport. Those shifts do not fit inside the hours a typical daycare keeps, and the gap is somebody’s problem every single night.

The gap

Most centres keep daylight hours

The standard childcare day runs roughly six to six. A swing shift, an overnight, a 4am start or a weekend rotation all fall outside it — and the shortfall lands on family, neighbours, and whoever owes you a favour.

Who it’s for

People who work while the Valley sleeps

Nurses and hospital staff, first responders, warehouse and distribution crews, hotel and restaurant workers, casino staff, airport and airline workers, students on night rotations.

What we can say today

Licensed, family owned, since 2005

Two buildings, both licensed childcare centres inspected by the Arizona Department of Health Services — not informal home sitting. Two decades with the same family running them.

That gap is the whole reason this place is worth knowing about. Both buildings are open through the night — Northern seven days, Peoria Monday through Saturday — and both licences carry the evening/nighttime and weekend classifications. The hours most centres treat as impossible are the ordinary ones here.

02Rates

Weekly tuition, answered in thirty seconds.

These are the rates charged at the front desk — the actual table, not an estimate. No “call for pricing.” The whole table is below so you can check it against anyone. DES child care assistance accepted.

Night care, in the family’s own words

Life is full of surprises. At Nana’s, we work hard to ensure your childcare choice is one of the great ones. 24/7 availability allows us to offer the best care and attention to your child both day and night. Our facilities are cleaned and serviced frequently with the utmost care. We employ full time security guards, as well as closely monitored surveillance cameras, throughout our entire complex — ensure your child has a safe and secure facility.

Our extended hours are perfect for: overnight and late work schedules, date nights, varying work schedules, last minute plans, and much more! All our childcare plans are flexible and allow you to use your hours at whatever time is most convenient for you.

Special night time rates begin after 8pm — drop-ins up to 5 hours, drop-ins up to 10 hours, and the week special, full time, after 5pm. Call either building for availability and details.

Sunday drop-in is Northern only — Peoria is closed that day. The two buildings keep different weeks, which is why a single “we are open Sundays” would be wrong about one of them.

Each cluster above is one caregiver and the children Arizona allows them to be responsible for — 1:5 for infants, 1:6 at one year, 1:8 at two, 1:13 at three, 1:15 for pre-kinder and 1:20 for school age. The rule does not loosen overnight, which is the part most people assume it does.

04What a day is made of

Art, music, dance — and somebody who claps.

Painting, music, dance, dress-up, movement classes. That is the day a child actually has here, and it is the part no rate table can show.

Art, music, dance and theater run as part of the programme, alongside fitness — the family has described the approach that way for years: an academic programme children reach through exploring those things rather than sitting still for them.

06Questions

What parents ask first.

Yes. Both buildings are staffed through the night, and a four-in-the-morning drop-off is an ordinary thing here rather than a favour. Draft answer, held until the licence confirms it: whether both buildings carry the evening/nighttime and weekend service classifications, and what the actual open span is.

Use the calculator above — it quotes the same weekly tuition charged at the front desk, by age group and schedule, including the 10% sibling discount on each child after the first. Registration is $75, once. DES child care assistance is accepted at both locations.

No licensed Arizona centre can offer that, whatever its hours: state law defines child care as a stay of under 24 hours (A.R.S. 36-881(2)). Care is scheduled around a shift. full days, part days and overnight, with drop-in days when a schedule changes

Licensed centres. Both buildings hold Arizona Department of Health Services child care centre licences — CDC-14018 and CDC-12417 — and are inspected under that programme. Licence status is public record and can be checked on AZ Care Check.

Yes, at both locations. DES assistance is based on the hours a parent works. night and weekend hours qualify — both classifications are on both licences Bring your DES paperwork at enrolment and we handle the provider side.

Full-time is over 6 hours but not exceeding 10 hours per day; part-time is anything under 6 hours. Need more than 10 hours? An hourly rate applies when the centre is notified in advance and management approves.

Call. Hours outside what was approved are billed at $5 per 15 minutes per child, so a heads-up always beats a surprise.

In writing, to the director, for approval — that protects your slot as much as it protects the roster. Tuition and co-pays are due every Monday.

Saturday drop-ins are $40 per child or two children for $60.

$25 per child — at Northern, the building that runs Sundays.

$60.

You’ll need to complete an enrollment packet from either facility with the child’s immunization records — a current immunization card, complete emergency card, complete application, tuition and signed policy agreement.
